HIV weakens our immune systems and so makes us vulnerable to many other illnesses, which we call opportunistic infections. Many of these infections occur in the mouth and that can have very bad consequences.

In this programme we detail the types of opportunistic infections of the mouth that can affect a person living with HIV. We also look at ways to both prevent and treat these infections so that we can live healthy lives.
